If you live in the River North towers or along Wells, Franklin or Orleans, you are within walking distance of the salon. Olaplex shows up in our day two ways: most of the time it is built into a color service, and sometimes it is the whole appointment because your hair needs recovery without color on top.
What Olaplex actually is
Olaplex reconnects disulfide bonds that break during bleach, color, heat styling and mechanical stress. A conditioner coats the cuticle and rinses out; a bond builder works on the structural bonds underneath, which is what holds the strand together. Almost every appointment where we lift hair breaks bonds, so pairing Olaplex with the lift means your hair leaves closer to where it started.
With color, or on its own
We add Olaplex to every bleach, balayage, foil highlight and bleach-and-tone service. It does not change the lift or slow the appointment. For single-process, gloss or tonal work without lift, we will discuss whether it makes sense.
The standalone treatment runs about 45 minutes to an hour: bond builder, processing time, a deep wash and finish. It suits clients recovering from a bleach correction elsewhere, daily heat stylers feeling mid-shaft breakage, and anyone preparing for a photographed event. We are at 223 W Erie Street, Suite 1E. The Merchandise Mart Brown Line stop and the Chicago Avenue Red Line stop are both a short walk away. Many of our River North clients come in during a lunch hour. We are open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm.
Who this isn't for
Olaplex is not a substitute for a haircut: it improves what is left but cannot reverse split ends. It is also not a smoothing treatment and will not change your texture or fight humidity; for that, see our texture services.
