The Magnificent Mile is the Michigan Avenue stretch from the Chicago River up to Oak Street. The hotels along it host many destination Chicago weddings, and we get the bridal party calls when those weddings happen.
Why Magnificent Mile brides book wedding hair with us
The brides we work with on the Mag Mile are usually traveling. They flew in for a Chicago wedding, they are staying at one of the corridor hotels, and they do not have a Chicago stylist. They need a salon that can take the whole party on a Saturday morning and deliver a wedding-quality result on a deadline. A short ride from the hotel means the bride, her mother and the bridesmaids are back before photos start.
Many of these weddings happen at the hotel itself or at venues like the Chicago Cultural Center, with tall ceilings and big windows. Styling has to read on camera in that light, so we finish wedding styles drier and tighter than we would for a backyard ceremony, and they hold through cocktail hour.
Our wedding hair process
Bridal hair starts with a trial, ideally four to six weeks before the wedding. Bring inspiration photos, your veil if you have it, and a sense of the dress neckline; we test two or three variations and pick one. On the day, styling runs 45 to 60 minutes for the bride and 30 to 45 minutes for each member of the party. We recommend back-to-back appointments starting early so everyone is done before late morning.
Wedding work is a team service: cuts in the weeks before, any color refresh a week or so ahead, and several stylists on the wedding morning. We match the lead stylist to your style direction at the trial.

Who this isn't for
We do not travel to hotel suites; every wedding service happens in our chairs. If you are booking less than three weeks out without a trial, we will be honest about whether the date is workable. Saturday mornings in May, June, September and October book out months ahead.
